computer follies
TENNESSEE TUXEDO WILL NOT FAIL!
this is our motto here at who done it and ran, ink!!
so, keeping that in mind, the talking heads here at who done it and ran, ink!! having been suffering miserabaly from innernet withdrawls, decided to call upon our resident genius, wile e. coyote, genius, to FIX AND REPAIR THIS!(F.A.R.T.)
having descended upon our lil junk heap, udderwise known a THE COMPUTER, he frostily determined that indeed, the watch battery that keeps the cmos (computer clock) was graveyard dead, and taking the battery out, and seeing the timestamp on the back of the battery, (1996) smoked a cigarette, and had a cuppa coffee (thick black, no sugar please) and went on to tackle the problem of why the monitor was fuzzy and unreadable!
well smack me in the back of the head, and say stupid!! the VIDEO CARD was holding on to dear life to the motherboard, beeping frantically for assistance, immediately!!!
having then reattached said video card to the motherboard, we prayed the following prayer as the computer came out of surgery:
"you better friggen work, now, or i'm gonna drop kick you inna dumpster!"
so, then the executive branch of who done it and ran, ink!! (ME, MYSELF, and I) held our collective breaths as the wires were put back into place, and the power switch was thrown, and....
SUCCESS!!! if at first ya dont succeed, keep on sucking until you do suck seed!!
now that we are up and running again, the computer clock tells me that it is january 1, 1996 12:00am!
that will change tomorrow, when check day arrives and i'm rich again, and can goto the store and get anutter battery!!
well, not much has happened since the computer puked up the other night, i got 3 hours in at the front desk, and slept like the world was ending, having woken up every hour on the hour, till finally, at 3:30 am, decided to forget about sleeping and got to the business of coffee drinking, and typing up this drivel.
today is wait wait and wait some more day, til 9 pm, at which time the eagle will have shit, and deposited united states greenbacks electronically into my bank account, then, im gonna run like hell down the street to applebees and get me a well deserved steak dinner!!
doyle the manager, by boss, landlord, and all around nice guy told me that this building is getting knocked down sometime within the next 2 years, at which point i commented, well so much for this, then! he told me not to worry, that the next building will have large apartments furnished, with cable tv and a full kitchen!! and that i am going to be able to have a spot in the new building!!!
next week, im gonna have a website from the fone company to put pics and songs on, and will be able to upload them unto this site, (hopefully) and we will see...
im contemplating switching from win~dose 98 to win~dose XP. i have had XP before, and its ok i guess. what do you think? do you use XP? ya like it? let me know how ya feel about it! all comments accepted!
well, its almost 5am, mountain time, so im going to go read my newspapers and start the day. have a slap happy day and dont forget to bring the cat out of the freezo cold and feed the cat warm food!!! happy happy joy joy!!
