wednesday stuff
its 4:43 am and i can hear the eastbound amtrak horn/whistle goin by...{sigh} one thing i usta do on the train, is when i woke up in the morning, i would sneak into 1st class and snag some coffee and grab a quick shower heheheee then i would go down to the lower part of the car and open up the window and have a smoke, when i was on a no smokin train; you can open up the window on the door and keep an ear open for someone coming down the stairs; back a few years ago, ya buy a amtrak coffee mug for 5 bucks and then ya get free coffee on the trip; coffee was $1.50 an 8 ounce cup; so, i'd save 9 bucks if i had the amtrak mug. i'd get me an explore america ticket for around 400 bucks, and can circle the entire country a few times in a 30 day period, making 3 stops around the way. it was a great deal! the breakfast in the dining car was never very good, so i would get a couple of bagels and creme cheese; lunch time there was a great cheeseburger with potato chips or potato salad; and dinner was really superb, a nice thick kansas city cut porterhouse steak! with baked potato, and chocolate moose cake!! topped off with an ice cold glass of milk! now try and get that stuff on a greyhound bus!! ha!
i got some stuff done yesterday, finished up fixing chaosdaily's laptop; worked from 9 am to noon for doyle the manager, he went and got the guy who pissed in the doorway the other day a spot at this hospice agency in town, so he will be leaving here shortly. then, i boxed up the laptop for shipping this morning, and cleaned the room, and finally got that second curtain up on the window; i got a bill from dish for the 57 bucks i paid online last friday, so i called them to find out whats up?! they were very nice!! excellent customer service!!!they cheerfully explained to me that the bill was generated and sent out before they got the 57 bucks online, and a payment made on line can take 3 days!! so then they explained how the billing works, and i asked how much do i owe all together, since they bill a month in advance, and so, she tole me it will be 130 bucks, so, we did an electronic funds transfer; (isnt technology wonderful?) so now, im all paid up til may! yay!! then, i did laundry, and about that time it was time to check the mail; and i got the comix books i ordered from our very own wenchie the fabulous artist! and what a treat! she has a great talent, and if ya havent already, go visit her page, and she has links there to her comix page, where u can use paypal to get her great books!!and as an added extra bonus, she will personally autograph them for ya!!! she also sent a catalouge of all her published works that you can order direct from her, and i'm gonna buy more stuff from her!! these comix books are really keepers!!
well, later on today, im off to the post office to ship the laptop back to chaosdaily, then im off to library to get some DVD's and elvis CD's that they are holding for me. now when i goto the library to look for this stuff, its never in stock, and the DVD's there are crappy; but if ya goto the libraries webpage, you can see thier entire collection of stuff, and what ya do is look for what ya want and place a hold on em , and they will email ya when the stuff is ready for pick up!!!
well i made a discovery of sorts with this dish network i have; i can preset the entire days tv shows that i wanna watch, and put the remote down, and it will automatically change the channel at the appropiate time!!! what a gas!!
