payday! yay! and udder news!
today i am:
payday!! yay!! actually, my wonderful AMERICAN bank let me have at it last night at 6:30 pm which is unusual! usually i have to wait til 11pm. i was chomping at the bit, last night, wanting to goto walmart right then and there, but i had to wait til after 7 cause i had to go close the gates down at the parking lot. so after that, down there i went! i bought a brand new, right outta the box air conditioner, and of course my money order for the rent, paid my fone bill too! and got back in time for law and order. the a/c works swell! how LAZY is america getting? the a/c comes with a remote control! sheesh!! ah well!

i pulled an all nighter last night! note to people reading this under age 40, this dont mean i was up partying all night, it meant i slept all night without waking up to go pee!
i forgot to mention that also at wal mart, i got one of those top of de line microsoft optical cordless mouse! 38.60 was the price, and that is a strange price. but it works swell.
baseball season is upon us! yay!!! yesterday on espn they televised the very 1st game of the pre-season, the newly minted washington nationals(montreal expos) vs. the new york mets. washington won, 5-3.

$3.5 Billion Offer For Entire NHL?
A Wall Street buyout firm and a sports advisory company reportedly made a joint proposal to buy all 30 NHL teams for as much as $3.5 billion.
Bain Capital Partners LLC and Game Plan International, both based in Boston, made the offer in a 30-minute presentation to NHL owners on Tuesday in New York, sources told the Toronto Star. The companies were invited to make their pitch by NHL commissioner Gary Bettman.
� When someone's offering over $3 billion, we felt we had an obligation to the board to have them, at least, hear it from the proposed purchaser. �

Bain managing partner Steven Pagliuca, co-owner of the NBA's Boston Celtics, and Game Plan, which recently acted as an adviser on the sale of the Ottawa Senators, are betting that many NHL owners would welcome the chance to get out of the hockey business.
