NEW YORK- Tragedy struck the community once again early last evening, as the worlds most famous bunny, the easter bunny was struck down and killed by an unknown hit and run driver as our hero, the easter bunny, was crossing a road on the way back home after attending easter bunny festivities here in the city.

witnesses say a red ford mini-van was seen just moments before, speeding down the bunny trail with no regard to life, limb, or property.

police say they have their crack detectives from the special victims unit on the case, and vow that they will have a suspect in custody within the hour, and they are tracking down leads even as you read this report, they are on the job, questioning suspects.

these are our best detectives, a police spokesman was quoted as saying, tears in his eyes, as memories of the easter bunny from his childhood was filling his head as our crack reporter was interviewing him.
we will pull out all the stops on this one, the police spokesman said.
santa claus, the tooth fairy, many of the easter bunny's large immediate family were already eliminated as suspects, but as a precaution, were told not to leave town, as more questions may be asked later.
as an added extra develoupment in the investigation, the police spokesman we interviewed stated that they are taking the unusual step in asking the justice league of america for assistance in the investigating, due to the fact that they have unique techniques in finding bad guys quickly.
