friday five and udder junk!
FRIDAY FIVE & DIME!!
1. most dangerous thing you ever done?
well, the most dangerous thing i ever done, involved hitch-hiking, i was in long beach, california, and i was walking around, looking for the pacific coast highway, and i was on this stretch of road when i looked over and seen the highway. problem was, it was oh, maybe 1000 feet below me, and i figure to save time, i'd just go over the side of the guard rail, and climb down the hill. only, it wasn't a hill; it was a friggen CLIFF!!! as i started down i realised this, but there was nothing i could do but go down! along the way down, i discovered CAVES and i finally made it down to the highway, then i stayed in that particular area all night long, and in the morning light, i went across the highway to see how lucky i was, as the cliff i traversed down was almost a vertical drop, straight down! looking back on it today, i would have walked down the winding hill to the highway, in retrospect, it would have been shorter. and safer!
2. year of 1st christmas that you remember and what did santa bring?
oh, i believe this was 1963, and santa brought me a cowboy outfit, complete with cowboy hat, and 6 gun, and belt with plastic bullets!
3. did you marry your childhood sweetheart?
nope.
4. first car you ever drove, legally?
1970 ford ranchero, all rusty as hell!
5. first time in hospital, and what was it for?
well, i believe that was 1965, and it was to take my tonsils out, last thing i remember was i was kicking and screaming, and was tied down to the gurney, and that peppermint mask coming down over my face! i thought they was gonna kill me! i remember in detail to this day, the mask coming down, over my face ~ and that peppermint smell! next thing i know i was in a nice bed my throat hurt like holy hell, and i was given some ice cream~!
well, today i am going to make an attempt at doing laundry. i wanted to do it yesterday, but everyone decided to do laundry here all day, and by the time there was any open washing machines, i was too

FACT OF THE DAY
On this day in 1886 the British government passed the Crofters Holding Act providing more security to small-holdings farmers in the north of Scotland. The act was passed following unrest in the Highlands between crofters and landlords which had erupted during the Battle of the Braes in 1882.
