friday stuff!!!
well, happy friday!!!
as you can see, im fiddling with the background colour! i have a pic of clouds that i'd like to put back there, but i dont know the exact coding for it. but thats something to work on today!

if the yellow background is too bright let me know, ok?

the song ya hear elvis sing is called "in the heart of rome".

cat is trying to take over:

well, he let me sleep 2 additional hours today, and he slapped me awake, his bowl was empty, he has been eating like a horse the past coupla days, and drank some water last night, and this morning, he has been all over me like white on rice! which is really neat! right now, he is under the futon, his main hangout.

i am convinced he absolutely HATES the outside~~ i even tryed to put him on the windowsill, he panicked!!! occasionally, he looks at the closet door, which is now closed TIGHT!! i dont want him in there, he looked at the front door last night, and i opened it, and he ran like hell, straight to the tub!

i was trying to update, and he was meowing, and wanted attention, which he got, and now that he got attention, he went under the futon.

yesterday afternoon, i took a pic of the clouds outside the apartment, and heres what i want for the background for this, i think.

saturday night, i go down to the hotel to work, and it will be the longest that the cat will be alone in here, so we will see how that goes.

well, heres some friday stuff!!

Today is Bill Clinton's birthday. He turns 59. What to get the former leader of the free world who has everything? We already know he has a copy of Oy Vey, a book of Jewish jokes Monica Lewinsky bought him.

How about the Ms. Pacman/Galaga table arcade for $4,295?
Or a personalized million pound note? It's just $25. We could replace the queen's face with Bill's.

This weekend, Virginia Sen. George Allen attends the 8th Annual Crab Feast & Watermelon Extravaganza in Delaware. This event is hosted by Sussex County Councilman Vance C. Phillips and sounds just like any other boring political event save for the name. We have no idea how Vance C. Phillips started this event or why. We also don't know anyone who eats crab and watermelon together. However, it is fun to say "Crab Feast & Watermelon Extravaganza" over and over, particularly in a vaguely feminine Latin American accent.

This weekend also marks two other important anniversaries in the history of the world. First, it's been 16 years since Lyle and Erik Menendez whacked their filthy rich parents in their California home. This was the first trial of the millennium, only to later be eclipsed by O.J. and then Michael. The brothers Menendez have since spent a lot of time contemplating their dastardly deeds, for they both received life in prison.

But, perhaps more importantly, this weekend also marks the 18th anniversary of the release of Appetite for Destruction, the Guns 'N Roses anthem to debauchery. Too bad Axl's too fat to do that dance he used to do. He's kind of like Elvis before the end.

well, thats all i got! need a calendar for 2006? im selling them, and they from scotland!! how about ya buy one? just click the buy a scotsman calendar link up top here!! your contribution to the cause will be appreciated!!

hava slap happy weekend!!!

FACT OF THE DAY
Today was a quiet day in the visit of George IV to Scotland in 1822, the first visit of a reigning monarch to Scotland since Charles II in 1650. George's visit saw the birth of the modern image of Scotland, orchestrated by Sir Walter Scott who had persuaded George that he had legitimate Jacobite lineage. Highland dress suddenly became immensely fashionable and lowlanders across Scotland rushed to discover highland ancestry so they could sport the suddenly trendy kilt in varieties of dashing new tartan.
