getting a late start
well, its not 4 am, its 8 am! ha!
happy tuesday folks!
as you know, i worked all day yesterday til 1 am. sammy the samoan was supposed to come in at 1, but he called in sick again, so i got jason to do the honors! mercifully, he came in at 12:30 and i called a cab. and cab was great! since there was NO traffic on the freeway, we went at warp 1, and i was home and in bed at 1 am! hehehe!! fare: $15.00. the price of one of my calendars!! yuk yuk yuk.
so, cat was dutifully perched on the bed, waiting for me when i got in the door. the cat chow was gone from his bowl, so i gave him a can of fish. seems that on the purina cat chow web site, they say that can food is 78% water and he gets all the water he needs from the food. still, i put the water in his food. the house was NOT all tore up, and all is well.
remember i sez i banned him from the closet? well, he started in on me when i got home after he ate, and so i let him go back in the closet, and went to sleep. i woke up at 2:30 am, and was totally disgusted! dammit!! i need to sleep!! so, i got up for a bit, and had a smoke, and the cat was doing his nightly roam around the house, and settled into the closet. so i was able to get back to sleep, and i just woke up.
i gotta goto the post office and mail my pal 
her calendar that she ordered on saturday!!! wheeeeeee!! boxx, you will get it by wednesday!!! the worlds greatest 4th grader has been feeling a lil blue lately, so why dontcha click on the boxx here and go say a few syllables to give her good cheer?!
i got today off, but im working 9 to 5 tomorrow and thursday!!
and now, its off to collect the rest of the rent and get going to post office and drink massive amounts of coffee and eat a bowl of oats and a hearty ho-yo silver!! away!!
FACT OF THE DAY
Today in 1715 the Earl of Mar raised the standard of James Francis Edward Stuart at Braemar, so beginning the first Jacobite rebellion. The rebellion was not much of a success, primarily because the Earl of Mar was a poor military leader. After attempting to march on Edinburgh, Mar's forces were met by government troops at Sheriffmuir in Perthshire where, after a bit of a scuffle, the Jacobites withdrew. Thirty years later his son, the "Young Pretender" had another pop at restoring a Catholic monarchy to Britain which ended in spectacular failure and the systematic repression of the Highland culture he claimed to represent.
