snow!! wheeeeeeeee!!!!

i swear, if you dont gimme a can of the good stuff, im just gonna hold my breath!

howdy folks!! heers what i woke up to at 4 am!

aint that purty? these pics are freshly baked today, and are of the courtyard outside my door when i woke up!

its much better than rain, doncha think?

thanky yous for the swell comments y'all gave me yesterday. rational heads that you guys have, you made me think real hard as to the what and why this happened to my friend. yea, i was shocked, and angry, and just blurted out how i felt about this tragic event. i am not going to blame the whole kit & kaboodle for what a couple of rotten apples do.
justice will prevail, and they who did this nasty deed will be dealt with, swiftly and severely!

day off today!! which means its scrubbing time! dishes piled high, cat litter strewn on the floor in the bathroom, food spots on the kitchen floor, cat hairs on the rug, it will all disappear today!! and, i left my glasses at work, so i suppose i will be expecting a visit from doyle this morning, he will bring my glasses to me.

i been thinking about moving things around a lil bit, but im not so sure, everything here in the apt. seems to have its place, and there really isnt much room for change. so i will be thinking on it!
well, its 5 am, and time to start the snowy day!!

only 6 more shoplifting daze til xmas!

Funny Quote of the Day - Jay London - "It all started when my dog began getting free roll over minutes."

Word of the Day - sub rosa: secretly; privately; confidentially

recipie!!

Lingonberry or Cranberry Jam

Depending on the tartness of the berries you may need to adjust the amount of sugar.

1 lb. 2 ounces (500 g) frozen or fresh lingonberries or cranberries

A scant cup (7 oz/200g) of caster (superfine) sugar ( just give ya regular granulated sugar a whirl in the food processor for 15-20 seconds)

Finely grated rind and juice of 1 lemon

1 small apple, peeled and cored

Rinse the berries, if necessary, then drain well and put them in a non-metallic bowl with the sugar and lemon juice. Leave overnight, turning once or twice.

Coarsely grate the apple and put it into a jam-making pan or other heavy based saucepan with the grated lemon rind. Strain in all the juice from the berries and add two wooden spoonfuls of berries, leaving the rest of the berries in the bowl for now.

Add 1/2 cup (125 ml) water and simmer for 20-30 minutes, or until the apple is very soft and the whole lot has thickened. Add the rest of the berries and heat through for 5-8 minutes. Pour into sterilized jars. Seal tightly and turn upside down. Cover with a cloth and leave to cool completely before turning upright and storing in a cool place. The jam will keep for a couple months but, once open, keep it in the fridge and use fairly quickly.
Makes about 2 cups.

programming note: imus in the morning is on vacation til after the new year. so since MSNBC repeats themselves every 1/2 hour or so, watch the news on CNN.

this has been a screengems/filmways presentation
