its friday!
thanks for all the hugs and kindness yesterday, you guys are just swell!!
well, i worked all night wednesday into thursday, moocher bought me a 1 liter of coke o' cola, so i decided that i would just drink on that all night instead of coffee.
coke o'cola dont work as good.
7:15 am, doyle the manager came out of his apt. to see me snorin' zzzzzzzzz!!! usually i was purty good at hearing his door creek open, not today! he sez "hey" and i pop up, thinking aw shit, but he didnt say nuffin else. hmmm. ok...
so i slept on and off yesterday, the power went off for most of the day, i called the power company, had to reassure the folks that its just a temporary dealie, and not to open thier refrig's too much to keep the cold air inside them, the one guy i have that is preparing for armageddon, he flys out and asks if its started yet! no, i tell him, its just a beaner hitting a pole, its not the real deal. the power will be on inna lil while! well, he sez, "i got a generator" and i say, ok, nows the time to go try it out so when the time is nigh, you will be ready, and he sez good idea, and he scurries back into his apt. bless his end of the world heart!
doyle and don the maintenence guy came around with a guy who fixes parking lots. he was very thourough in his detailed estimates and explaining everything that needed to be done, and the parking lot guy sez 4 grand. well, we need 3 bids, and i guess his is the 1st one so far and i can tell doyle wasnt too happy with the price. i didnt say it, but im thinking that well, he aint gonna use valley services for THIS one, and it aint gonna be cheap no matter what company he gets. the parking lot needs fixin and it has to be done. so, spend some cash, dammit!!
now an update from the retard section of who did it and ran, ink!!
ever since i was a wee lil brat, i always wanted to take stuff apart and put em back together to see how things worked. i fucked up a lotta good junk over the years doing this. hehehe.
the udder day, i went and got a 10/100 ethernet PCMCIA card for the ancient laptop, installed the drivers, and found that the card slots dont work. dicking around with the laptop, im thinking that well, maybe windows aint reconising the hardware, so, i figgure that well, all i need do do is format the hard drive and reinstall windows 98 and problem solved, right?
i FORGOT that windows 98 needs a BOOT DISK!!!! dumbass!! i formatted the drive, nice and clean, and it turns out that on the toshiba, in the bios, when you set the boot sequence, it dont have the option for cd rom, just hard drive and floppy.
guess what I DONT HAVE!
so, off to ebay i got, woo woo!!
i find an external floppy for it and 20 bucks later its on its way.
later on, im thinking, sheesh, dumbass, all i had to do really is just reinstall windows 98 and the setup would OVERWRITE the previous install!!!!
and finally, i got tired of vaccuming up kitty litter all over the bathroom floor, so i made a trip out to the pet store last evening and spent (GASP) 30 bux!! on a litterbox with a top to it, it looks like a camper shell, and ole zipper took to it like natural! so now, he can fling his shit litter all around the box, and not a bit of it will hit the bathroom floor!! it even has a floppy door he can go in and out with ease.
yesterday afternoon, while i was in the lobby with doyle and don and the parking lot guy, lil zipper pulled the mini blinds clean off the picture window. i had the brackets SUPER GLUED!! so much for superglue, now, later on i will go into the storeroom and get some screws and screw the brackets to the wall, and lets see him try to yank the mini blinds off the wall now!! wooo!! woo!!
