congratulations to the newly elected 44th president of the united states of america!
although i am saddened by the election results, the people of the united states of america have chosen and spoken, and we all must gather together and support the 44th president, who will hopefully, over time, heal the nation's wounds and restore the nation to the prominence that it once enjoyed throughout the world.
if you, like me, did not vote for president-elect obama, for whatever reason, you must, as a good american, support and defend and uphold the office for which he will occupy starting on january 20, 2009. the presidency of the united states is an unique office for any american to have the privilege to hold, as the office holder has the weight of the world on his shoulders; this is a heavy burden, as the decisions that he makes effects the world at large; the united states dollar is the world's trading currency, and the world's currencies revolve around the us dollar. the president's economic decisions effect not only the economy of the country, but of the world.
the decisions the president makes in regard to our foreign policy effects not only the country, but of the world also; this is why we must stand behind him and support him and respect the office of the presidency, which is the hardest job in the world.
so, please join me and others in supporting the president in all affairs as he will lead the nation towards the change that he pledged during his campaign. this change will come slowly, not overnight. lets give barack obama a sporting chance; if he cannot do the job, then, next election, you will have another opportunity to cast your vote for whom you want to become the president.
