hot lunch tuesday!
HOT LUNCH TUESDAY!!!! on tuesdays the mission serves a HOT LUNCH! i missed HOT LUNCH TUESDAY cause of work training! but thats ok, i'll get my share today!!
speaking of work, it was a repeat of the 1st night, take the plastic offa the clothes on the rack! good stuff!! i decided that i dont have to be "speedy gonzalez" (SP) at work, but on the same token, i cant take my sweet ass time, either! just a steady pace, this aint no race!!!
yesterday, after i left here i went to HR and told the gal at the desk what jon the manager told me about "i dont have any hours for you next week!" and i mentioned that i was hired on i thought, for the duration, and she smiled and said yes, that true, my name is jennifer* and i work with jon in processing and i am the day manager, so i will give you 20 hours for next week, and true to her word, she did!!! i go mon thru thursday next week 7 am til NOON!!! which means, i will miss hot lunch tuesday! thats ok, IM WORKING!!!! i managed to maintain a level of professionalism and diplomatic skills as i was talking to her, and i didnt wanna sound demanding or anything, and the whole senario went extremely well!! i felt a sense of belonging as we spoke, and i was very careful in choosing my words, as i was tired, and irritated, and i kept my cool thruout the whole process!! (PATS SELF ON DA BACK!) so, when i was yakking with my co-workers last night, and i tole them what had happened, they tole me that they were told last friday that when wednesday hits, (tomorrow) after thier shift, they are DONE! and they too, were told that they were there for the duration! they had been there a while, and i thought that they were part of the permenant (sp) staff, union members and all! but they aint! they are temps just like me!! but, they work all the night long!! whereas i go from 8:30 to 12:30.
so, i check into the mission at 10 til one, and grab a mat and goto sleep, and i was sleeping good too, til some knucklehead accidently kicked me in the back at a QUARTER TIL FIVE!!!! i woke up, and gave him holy hi hell, and that was that! UP for the DAY!!! so, i took my sweet ass time getting dressed and what not, and i was outta there at 5 am. sheesh!
during the very chilly walk to starbux this morning in pioneer square, i noticed that the streets were deserted of crackhead shitballs, who usually take up space along the sidewalks all the night long, but, there was none to be found, and crackhead park was DEVOID of the mongrels, also, and when i met up with john, my coffee drinking pal, he told me that the cops were making sweeps last night, and thats a good thing!! the seattle cops are not like the slc cops, who do drive by snatch and grabs, and catch and releases, here, in seattle the cops MEAN BUSINESS!! when they bust ya for dope, YOU GO RIGHT TO JAIL!! no catch and release, no ticket writing, just the ole cuff em and stuff em!! so, it was a quiet morning in starbux!
so, i work tonight, tomorrow night, then free turkey dinner feed all the day long then friday, PAYDAY!! i figgure about 50 bux for the training!! but its coffee money for the weekend!! my starbux will be open at 6:30 am on thanksgiving, so i will have a spot to goto when i get the heave ho thursday morning!!
then off the weekend, no seahawk game, and report to work fresh and rested monday morning at 7 am!! yay!!!
i got a bit of the sniffles, so i got a bag'o halls mentholuptus (sp) and been sucking on those like anything! 99 cents!! good deal!!
