thanksgiving day!
yesterday was pretty much uneventful. i worked from 9 am til 1 am, and at 11, moocher came down, 1st asking me if i had a smoke, and i sez, no, i quit smoking! hahah! his eyes bugged out! i just didnt want him mooching smokes, i had to make em last til i got home at the ungodly hour of 1:30 am! so, he begrudgingly went to the gas station down the street to actually buy some! sheesh! so, when he came back, he wanted to know if i was going to the greek church for thanksgiving, so i locked up the office and we went. its just down the block from the hotel. when we got there, we stopped at the corner, and moocher sighed, and said, lookit the line! and we stood there for a minute, when i said, well, we might as well get over there, and get in line! its not getting any smaller!! so away we went, and in less than 5 minutes, we were sitting down chewing on turkey, taters, stuffing, succotash, and cheesecake! moocher ate 2 plates before i finished just one! then i had another plate. it wasnt all that crowded, compared to last year, off to the side, people rummaged through tables of free clothes, and for the most part, everyone was on their best behaviour. there was one woman who started to bang the table when we sat down, declaring that she was "starving" and when she banged the table, the rest of us gave her the "stare down" and she settled down. she got her plate first, and she was done and gone within 5 minutes. on the way out, i grabbed 3 "togo" bags of turkey dinner, and put them in the fridge in the storeroom in the hotel, figuring that i will bring them home later.
i wanted to take pictures to post here, but when i turned the camera on, the battery was dead. damm!!! o well. it was a nice warm sunny day yesterday, as it is today. wheatherman said we were gonna have a storm, but its yet to come. while at work, all there was to do really was sit and play pogo. later on in the day i seen my pals onewetleg, and bluesleepy!! and i yakked with onewetleg for a while, then my pal, chaosdaily came on and we chatted for a bit, and she told me she posted, so i went to read, and she has just the best looking template i have seen inna while!!! my pal, golfwidow made it, and you should go take a look, and see how swell it is!!
i spent the last part of the shift playing pogo with bluesleepy, and we had a fun time chattering away with other pogo folks! so then i noticed that it was 12:45 am, and sammy the samoan would be in to take over inna few minutes, so i went to get my sacks of turkey dinners from the fridge.
i went and grabbed them, then, my spidey sense went off!!! i brought them back to the office, and felt the contents, and they wernt cold! rut-ro! i opened a togo box, and i gotta tell ya, i cant smell stuff, but when i opened the box, pweeeee-yewwwww!!! so there went 3 bags of turkey dinners into the trash can!!! dang!!!! sigh!!! o well, i guess i wont be using that fridge anymore!!
so, sammy the samoan, came in and it was time to call a cab. the dispatcher said it would be 15-20 minutes, so i sez ok. and waited. and waited. 15 minutes went by, wait. getting agitated. wait. 25 minutes went by, and i called em back, and the dispatcher whines how she is trying to get a cab available, so after a resounding "fuck you" i hung up and called another cab company, i was exhausted folks! the other cab company sent a cab within 3 minutes, and i was off to going home!!! yay!!!
when i got home, creamsicle was in his chair, and when he seen me, he was all meow, meow, meow!!! telling stories, as boxx9000 would say!!! his Big Bowl of Mixed Dry Food and Can Food was just about empty, so i opened a can for him, and he chowed down! then came to the bed, and i was soon asleep by 2 am. and at 7 this morning, cat was all meow meow meow again, wanting me to get up. but i was still exhausted, tried to get up, but when i did, i had a headache, so i just layed back down. an hour later, the cat demanded i get up, he hopped up on my belly and started in on his claws!! ok, ok, im up!! his bowl was agin empty, so this time, dry food!! he ate a lil bit, stood up and stared at it for a good 5 minutes. now i sat down here, and started this post.
