just anutter manic tuesday!
hello!
those of you whom strolled upon this site last evening and got a blank screen, well, i am in the process of changing the template, so for now, i'm stuck with this ugly thing.
yesterday was FUN! sending kids to do men's jobs!
theres a new television service in my area called usdtv~ see http://www.usdtv.com for details. well, anyhoo, the way it works i syou get a HDTV reciever and hook it up to the tv, and you catch the signal from an antenna on the roof. well, we have a common antenna that everyone in the SRO here uses, and sunday night, some moron here went on the roof, and twirled the antenna around for some reason, and i lost my signal! so, i called usdtv, to send a tech out with an antenna, install my antenna on the roof, point it toward the mountains, and all is well! simple, huh? well, not in my life! nothing is simple in my life! hehehee. YESTERDAY, they send out a KID, i showed him around, we went on the roof, and i helped him install the antenna. now, this kid did not have a simple lil electronic device that tells you where the signal is! so, here we go! i tell him, im goin down to my room, call me on ya cell phone, and you twirl the antenna around, and i will tell you when i get a signal! EZ enuff, huh? HAH! 45 minutes later, he cannot find the signal! SO, the kid comes down from the roof, and tells me he is going to take a walk and think on this. GRRRRRRR! i grit my teeth and smile, and off he goes. meanwhile, i go on the roof to see what is up. there is a dish network satellite dish on the roof, and the kid put my antenna right next to it. well, 1/2 hr. later, the kid comes back, and i tell him, lets move the antenna and see what happens! so, he moved the antenna, and guess what? we get the signal! he put the antenna too close to the dish, and it interfered with the antenna catching the signal!
afterwards, theres a few people here who are interested in this, so i point the kid towards these people. the manager came by and asked me what is going on and i told him, and he sez ok.
now, later on i get the BRIGHT idea to change my template here in dland. i delete the template i got, thinking, well, i will find some free ones online, and copy and paste, and away we go! simple, right? NOT IN MY WORLD! hahhaaa! i get a template. download it, and it comes in sections. now, i admit, i dont know much about this sort of thing, but i figured that all i need to do is copy and paste some HTML. well, it aint THAT simple! and bravenet....well theres no help there! bravenet sucks as far as i'm concerned! i had a hard time getting into dland last night, so i figured i will wait til today to do this. meanwhile, i get a email from yarnsmith, asking about my page. i wrote her back and told her whats up!..... in other news, i got tangled wires between the puter, tv and fridge and speakers, and things arent quite the way i want em set up here. so, i gotta pull all the wires apart, and straighten everything out!
thats the news from the rio grande hotel, where all the women are non-existant, all the men are sleeping, and the children are running amok in the city! hahhahaa! hava FUN day!
