wednesday already! and cold threatens!
again, i wanna thanky, thanky, thanky!!!(gomer pyle folks)for all the swell comments you guys/gals/cats are great!!
When chaosdaily tole me about diaryland, i did have my reservations about it, ya, i have heard of blogs and such, i try to keep current on techie stuff, but i sez, gee, i dunno, who would wanna read this? actually, i think we were talking about finances and she tole me that there were people begging for money online! i had heard of that, and i thought on it for a coupla days, and in the meanwhile, she tole me how d-land works, and she sez that all i gotta do is tell some stuff about my life and such, so i decided to give it a try, although i had my doubts.
The first few entries i put a pay pal button and was asking people to donate. and after about a week or so, 2 things happened. 1. i remembered that pay pal was not secure, and 2. no one donated.
i was between computers at the time, and was goin to the library to post stuff, and my confidence was waning, i felt that chaosdaily was my only reader, so i left d-land for a while, i needed more time to post stuff, and i was waiting on my check to come so i can get a computer for my own again.
i usually get laptops, they are handy, but i figured that if i was renting a room for a while, i'd get a PC. so once i got the pc, i started posting again, and it caught on, so here we are 4 months later, and i have over 1800 hits, which is pretty good, i think.
i used to be a big time chatter in yahoo chat, thats how i met chaosdaily, we been chatting for about 3 years or so, anutter yahoo chatter introduced us, and at first we didnt hit it off, i had had bad luck with people in yahoo chat, and i was deeply depressed at the time; when people first meet me the impression they get is that i am an asshole, as y'all know, thats not the case, after awhile we hit it off and started yakking.
i used to chase women in yahoo, i'd go into a chatroom, and chat it up, next thing ya know, i would be on the next amtrak train headed toward heartbreak!
i did this from 1996 to 2000, i am thick-headed, i tell ya, and sometimes, i am unclear of the concept...
The last gal i met and ran off to was the final straw. i was living in reno at the time, and i was in the chat room when i got an instant message from a gal, and she sez she wanted to get to know me, well here we go again, off to the races!! batter up!! we hit it off, and soon the im's were an all day thing, and soon after, the telephone calls started. she was in oshkosh, (by gosh!) wisconsin, i had never been to oshkosh, and during one of the fone conversations it was decided that we should meet. this gal sounded just perfect for me. both libras, in fact, she was born exactly one week before me! interesting, to say the least. we spent new years eve 1999 on the fone waiting for 2000 to hit and all hell would break loose!! as soon as 2000 hit reno, i ran like hell to the ATM machine to see if i could get rich, hoping that the stories of ATM machines malfuncting and spewing out money cause of Y2K...no such luck! figures!
anyhoo, soon, in feb, 2000 i decided to go out to oskkosh to meet this jewel! she looked just as i pictured, built, and spunky looking! she said she knew of a rooming house i can rent cheap, and it was just 3 blocks from her place.
then soon after, the shit slowly started. she tole me that if i wanted to come by, to call her 1st, which seemed very reasonable, but as it turned out, she was ONLINE 24/7. everytime i tryed to call the line was busy!!! i'd see her online line and say hiya! and she'd claim i was stalking her!! CHEESUS!! this is gettin kinda long, so im gonna wrap it up here;
she drank booze like i used to, and she cybered with teen-aged boys, tellin them she was just 16 or 17, whatever, and she would get off on that, and the final straw was that she was abusive. so, that was that! no more yahoo chat pickups for me, i hauled ass quick like and went back to the west coast! well, there was a lot of stuff that occurred between us that i didnt mention, cause it gets rather lenghty, so lets just say ole thick head here FINALLY learned his lesson about picking up internet gals, and just lets leave it at that!
WHATS ON TV TONIGHT! THE WEST WING AND LAW AND ORDER!!! YAY!~~
