are you properly educated??
i have 3 banners up, 2 of them you have seen, and can be easily identified as mine. the 3rd one is not easily identified as mine. what does it say?

i read radiogurl's entry last night before i went to sleep, and it just reminded me of how stupid "educated" people are! there are "college educated" people out there with "degrees" who don't know shit! people with "high school diplomas" too! now i know that the practice of "promoting" problem students from one grade to the next these days has become the norm in the united states. some, if not most high school grads cannot read past a 3rd grade level, and cannot spell without using spell check (todays edition of the daily drivel, past, present and future issues are produced without using spell check!) also people cannot do basic math without a calculator! when you get a sandwich from mc donalds, et al, the cashiers cannot issue change without the cash register calculating the correct change! when i was coming up, and in school, if you failed in school, you were kept back, and repeated the grade. these days it seems, teachers do not hold you back if you fail, but shuffle you along, because it would be so "traumatic" to hold a student back, and repeat the grade, because he/she will be older than the kids in next years class!! awww, too friggen bad!!

when i was coming up, we didn't have calculators for math, spell check for spelling, computers for googling history answers, or looking up geography answers!!!

heres a lil quiz for you to take! one rule is involved. do not use spell check, a calculator, or google for the answers! be honest now, and i will take you at your word! for the 1st 50 people that get all 10 answers correct, they will recieve a gmail invite! the questions are simple, high school questions. stuff you learned in high school! submit your answers in my comments section, or notes section.

so submit you answers, win a gmail invite, and feel good that you were properly educated!!!

FACT OF THE DAY
Lexicographer Noah Webster copyrights the first edition of 'An American Dictionary of the English Language' today in 1828. One major difference between British and American English, is of course, the phonetic rendition of certain words (favour/favor, tyre/tire, etc). No-one seems sure who is right, but it certainly gives the British an excellent excuse to be patronising!
