No bail for suspect in detective's shooting
Officer killed at police headquarters

What is this? Its a pic of a fucking asswipe piece of shit who not only killed a police officer, but stabbed an 89 year old woman! and this is what you get from the cops when you do this: you get a major-league can of whup-ass, industrial strength size!! yay! providence cops!! good job!!

PROVIDENCE, Rhode Island (AP) -- A man charged with killing a detective with the officer's own gun during questioning at police headquarters was ordered held without bail Monday.

Esteban Carpio, 26, did not enter a plea in Providence District Court to a murder charge in the death of Detective James Allen.

His face appeared bruised and bloody, and was obscured by a white mask that covered the area from his chin to his eyes. Police have said he injured his leg, arm and head when he jumped from a third-floor window at the police building.

The murder charge carries a potential maximum sentence of life in prison without parole because it involves the killing of an on-duty police officer.

Authorities said Allen, 50, was shot Sunday in a conference room while he questioned Carpio about his possible involvement in the stabbing of an 84-year-old woman, who is expected to recover. Carpio was not under arrest at the time and had been taken out of handcuffs.

After the shooting, Carpio broke a window in an adjacent office and jumped out. He was captured a few blocks away, authorities said.

Carpio's mother and another woman wailed when he was brought into the courtroom Monday, hands and legs shackled and held by several officers. One yelled "Oh my God, look what they did to him." Officers wrestled both women out of the courtroom as they screamed about a coverup and police brutality.(HEY WELFARE SCUM-SHIT! PAY ATTENTION!! YOUR FUCKBALL KID KILLED A POLICE OFFICER!!! THIS IS WHAT YOU GET WHEN YOU DO THIS!!)

Allen, a 27-year veteran of the force, was an experienced investigator and one of the department's longest-serving detectives.

"Jimmy Allen passed in the noblest way possible. He gave his life trying to make our lives safer," Mayor David Cicilline said. "He died a hero."

Michael Brady, an expert in police procedures who teaches at Salve Regina University in Newport, said every police station has so called "weapons secure" areas, where guns are banned. These generally include cell blocks and interrogation rooms, he said, but not areas such as detective conference rooms.

If Allen wanted to question Carpio, Brady said, it would not have been unusual for him to do so in a nonsecure area with his gun in his holster.

"This officer was not doing something very different than what police officers throughout the nation do every single day," he said.

Carpio had been trying to seek help for mental health problems, his family said. His grandmother, Jean Gonsalves, said he was "pacing, talking, seeing things."

YA KNOW WHAT, PEOPLE? IN THE PAST, I HAVE BEEN KNOWN TO SEE THINGS, BABBLE ON, AND PACE, BUT I DO NOT GO AROUND STABBING 89 YEAR OLD GRANDMOTHERS AND KILLING COPS!!!!!

THIS PISSES ME OFF TO NO END, NOT THE FACT THAT THIS GUMBALL GOT THE SHIT BEAT OUT OF HIM, BUT THE FACT THAT A POLICE OFFICER WAS KILLED HERE!! LETS NOT FORGET THIS FACT HERE! SCUM BUCKET GOT WHAT HE GOT COMING TO HIM, AND I HOPE HE GETS MORE OF THE SAME!!!!

(cue smurfs music....la la la da de da, da de da de da! breathe in, breathe out, breathe in, breathe out.....)

i watch CNN while i type this; i seen the segment on this sad story and just had to say a few syllables about this. i may rant and rave about when some cops violate the 4th admendment, and call them "jack booted thugs" on occasion, but i am very saddened when i hear that a police officer gets killed, especially unnecessarily, in the line of duty.
police officers have a tough job, and no one forced these special people to choose this line of work. Do you agree or disagree with my opinion that this snotrag got a proper beating for what he did? if you disagree with me, thats ok, you have a god-given right to. let me know how you feel. yay or nay! comments good or bad! i never delete comments~ the 1st admendment is practiced here~police protect and serve, if not for the police, there would be anarchy.
