TODAY is the start of the 47th annual birthday week, celebrating my birthday! It will be a fun filled week, as thousands upon thousands of people will come from all over north america and beyond, to decend upon the mansion, and take tours of the compound, visiting the gift shops for souviners, watching old newsreels and video clips highlighting important events that occured in my life; listening to dignitaries speeches extolling past achievements of my life. all the local hotels and motels and rescue missions and shelters are filled to capacity, as people will eagerly spend thousands of dollars in the hope of seeing me come out of the mansion and perhaps make a speech, or maybe sing, utlimately topped off sunday afternoon with a huge party extending many city blocks, with cake and ice cream for all.....
yeah, right!! dream on!!
well, that could have happened, i mean, anything in life is possible!! ya know?
most grown-ups dread the passing of another year, becoming a year older. the dread starts at 40. why?? i look at it as an achievement. a milestone. a point of success; after all the shit i have pulled i should have been graveyard dead long ago. its a true miracle im still around!
cat is drinking water!!! wheeee!!! yay!!! i have been so damn worried about that!! hes been here about a month, and hes finally drinking the water in his bowl!!!! now, if i can just get him to stop sitting under the bed all day. its been 3 days since i stopped letting him in the closet. hes hanging around now, trying to get me to open the door. that is just not happening.

Cracked magazine is coming back! "What the hell is Cracked?" you say... or "Who cares?" Well, back in my day, when we walked 10 miles to school barefoot in the snow, there was a magazine called Cracked, which you only stole if the store didn't have Mad magazine.
The last issue, according to Monty Sarhan, Cracked's CEO and editor in chief, was published in November 2004, and the new improved version will be out in 2006. The website, Cracked.com, is set to launch October 1, if you believe their countdown. They're also seeking submissions there; they claim they're actually paying for humor.
Mad magazine came back, made a TV show and launched the careers of � well � nobody, really. Not to be outdone, Cracked is re-launching as a Web site and a print magazine, hoping to capture the hearts and gonads of 18-34 males everywhere. Judging from editor Justin Droms, Web editor Jack O'Brien and Sarhan, there will be plenty of bathroom humor, news and reviews, and satire. And if some of the press releases are to be believed, Cracked entertainment plans to expand the brand through other media, including the development of animated and live-action content for television, film and the Internet. Now, whats next? National Lampoon??

Today in 1290, Margaret "Maid of Norway", granddaughter of Alexander III of Scotland, died en route to Scotland from Norway. Although only 7 years old, Margaret was Queen of Scotland and betrothed to Edward I of England's son, the 6 year-old Prince of Wales (later Edward II). Margaret's death left Scotland with 14 claimants to the throne.
