05:29 - Monday, Nov. 14, 2005 Death of Mr. Floppy Drive This morning, when I woke up, I got my coffee, and started my day. I fed creamsicle, then i went over to the computer. the bootscreen was up. and so i think, rut ro!! what now? so, i sat here, had 2 cups of coffee, one to wake up, and one to get the fire in my pea-brain sturring! Meanwhile, i sat here, turning off the puter, wait a minute, turn it on.. this was done several times! Dr. Killpatient was called in for emergency surgery as the initial diagnosis was that the floppy disk light was continually on. The extraction was a success. an autopsy was performed, and the cause of death was due to non-use. Mr. Floppy Drive died in his sleep; tired of just sitting around, yelling, "use me!!! here i am!!! use me please!!" to no avail. Mr. Floppy Drive - 2004-2005 Rest In Pieces So, now, im back up and running, just a few hours loss here. Food Bank comes this morning~!! Free Food for all who lives here!! They come every other monday, and sometimes they actually bring good stuff!! the tenant who got thrown in jail came back yesterday. i guess someone bailed him out. i dunno. he had amoung other things 4 possession charges. he told me it was marijuana. i informed him of the one strike policy, and since he went to jail for possession, he is going to have to talk to doyle about it. and my take on it is that doyle will evict him. he understood this. hes not a bad guy, really, just a lil fucked up in the head, and gets into situations. he started to tell me that his case manager said that he wont get evicted. i told him that his case manager dont dictate the policy and rules for staying here. so, now, its up to doyle. cold and snow is on the way, we havent had any yet, so i guess its our turn. i still have shopping to do, i need to get some catfood and udder stuff. have you marked your territory on my map? look for the linky over in the right sidebar!! so, thats all there is, there is no more! QUOTE OF THE DAY: Normal is getting dressed in clothes that you buy for work and driving through traffic in a car that you are still paying for - in order to get to the job you need to pay for the clothes and the car, and the house you leave vacant all day so you can afford to live in it. - Ellen Goodman WORD OF THE DAY: aplomb uh-PLOM, noun: Assurance of manner or of action; self-possession; confidence; coolness. Then, unexpectedly, she picked up a microphone and began to sing. She sang several songs, handling herself with the aplomb of a professional entertainer. For all the slings and arrows, he seems almost preternaturally good-natured; set upon by a group of drunken revelers at dinner in Des Moines, . . . he weathers their boozy blandishments and inevitable potato jokes with admirable grace and aplomb. His initial broadcasting success was due at least as much to his considerable professional aplomb as it was to his father's broadcasting connections. GARFIELD: |
