06:04 - Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2005 ball bearings and screwdrivers long ago and far away, in 1965, in fact, i was 7, and almost went blind and deaf. all because i was angry that we left canada. i didnt wanna be here, i spoke french exclusively, but learned english real quick. i got into fights quite a bit, and the other kids called me a frog, and when they did, i kicked their ass. one day, i didnt wanna goto school. i was playing with something, i dont remember what it was, but i had found some ball bearings, and thought it would be a good idea if i stuck em in my ears! so, i sat there on the floor watching morning cartoons, putting ball bearings in my ears and taking them out. soon, it was time to goto school, but i didnt wanna go. i was busy playing with the ball bearings, and was putting them in my ears! but then, all of a sudden, i could not get them out of my ears, and i could not hear anything! off to the hospital we went! old doc feelgood in the e.r. took some tweezers and got them out, there was 6 of em, 3 in each ear, and they went in deep! doc feelgood said i was lucky, but then, next thing i know, i was being hauled off to the kiddie shrink, and the bass-tid prescribed darvon cause he decreed that i was hyperactive, and doncha know, in 1965, darvon was the drug of choice back then to cure hyperactivity. ya, right. i didnt like this guy, he kept yapping about my father and his drinking and violence. i used to leave there screaming and howling, and one day, out of the blue, i did want to goto school, but, ma told me i had to go see dr. evil pill popper. and i didnt wanna go. one of the things me and my brother used to do was sit in the living room, and took great fun in taking a flat head screwdriver and throwing it on the floor, to see if we can get it to stick into the linoleaum! and it was time to go, so all of a sudden, i stuck the screwdriver in my eye! blood everywhere! and off to the hospital i went! fortunately, i did not actually put the screwdriver IN my eye, it hit the skin that is on the corner of my eye and nose. but that mindless action got me a stay in the kiddie ward of the nuthouse for a while. i dont know how long i stayed there, but next thing i know, i was back home, and going to school, continuing to be a bully and holy terror. i got this holiday survey from my pal, thirdeye7601 who hasnt updated inna while! *hint hint* hehhee! she sent it in the email.

FACT OF THE DAY Today in 1721 saw the death of Alexander Selkirk. Selkirk was marooned on an island in the Pacific Ocean after he left his ship, the Cinque Ports, fearing for its seaworthiness. He was eventually rescued four years and four months later and inspired Daniel Defoe's classic tale, Robinson Crusoe. The scientific name for the haggis is Marag fabulosus. RED MEAT!!
