Julius Caesar was assassinated on the Ides of March (i.e. March 15th) in 44 B.C. in the fifty-sixth year of his life or fifteen years after the beginning of his wars in Gaul. On that Ides of March he was scheduled to receive from the senate the royal diadem and title of King for all the countries subjected to Rome, but at the proposed investiture Caesar had planned to refuse. Meantime a conspiracy was formed by sixty-two Romans who hated the idea. So, they decided to assassinate Caesar on that same day. As Caesar entered, the sixty-two, who had arrived earlier with other senators, arose as if to do him honor, and conducted him to his special seat. Cimber, one of the main conspirators, then wanted to present him with some petition or other; being refused, he grasped Caesar's robe, as if to continue to plea, and Caesar exclaimed: "This is violence." Cimber then threw back the robe from Caesar's shoulders; that was the signal for the attack. Servillius Casca aimed the first blow. As others pulled out their daggers and rushed forward, Caesar rose from his seat and like a lion began to fight back in self-defense but soon seeing that resistance was in vain, he desisted and, wrapping himself up in his gown while uttering, "Et t�, Brute!" upon seeing Brutus among the assassins, fell without further struggle at the foot of the status of Pompey.
Today is my 1st son sean's birthday. he is 25 today, and is living someplace on the planet. i hope that his is doing well in lifes endeavours and that he is happy. i have no desire to "look him up" or anything like that; as i have said before, "live and let live."
if he has a desire to find me, its not difficult.
i will say this again, and please dont take this wrong, even though he is my son, i was a lousy father to him. i was active in alcoholism and assholism. i was not a nice person, and done some very rotten things; but it was a long time ago, and he and his brother and sister is all grown up and have lives of thier own. for me at this point in thier lives to actually make an effort to find them and invade their lives is not right. although i am thier father, i am a stranger to them. i have not seen them since 1991, and for me to come in to their lives now, and say, "look at me, ive changed!" will do no good whatsoever. all it will do is open old wounds that are very painful for all. and truth be told, if i was to pass them on the street, i probaly would not even reconise them. i have had nothing to do at all with them growing up, and that is my fault. this is something i have accepted, and so be it. i wish them well. some things are better off left alone. nuff said.
good ole barry bonds
ya know, it angers me that people in the media are saying that good ole barry bonds if he breaks the home run record do not deserve it, because he took steroids. how the fuck do they know he took steroids?? he has been tested, no one has found steriods in his system. people are assholes sometimes. there is no proof whatsoever that good ole barry bonds took steroids!!! shut the fuck up and let the man play baseball!!
i will defend this superb athlete until the day HE admits that he took steroids or performance inhancing drugs. there is NO EVIDENCE WHATSOEVER that this is true. just because there are some people out there who claim that they seen him do this, to me they lie. they just want to steal the limelight away from him for reasons that we dont know. if good ole barry bonds was NOT going to break the home run record, you would not be hearing anything about this!!!
ken griffey, jr. over in cincinatti has over 500 homeruns, watch what happens in a few years when HE approaches the home run record!!! these accusing mongrels will accuse him of using steroids. some mongrels have nothing else better to do then to stir up controversy when there really is none.
i hope good ole barry bonds hits 100 homeruns this season.
