Breaking News
David Witt, 57, was discovered in his car Tuesday afternoon in a San Diego parking garage, said Michael Henson, a Landis family spokesman. "The Landises are devastated by the news of David's death," Henson told The Associated Press. "They loved him dearly, and they miss him." Witt was the stepfather of Landis' wife, Amber. San Diego police Lt. Kevin Rooney confirmed Witt's body had been found but declined to say whether investigators were treating it as a possible suicide.
Politicians and baseball officials who gathered to break ground on a new Yankee Stadium shared memories of the old ballpark but said the new one would be even better. "Yankee Stadium is an iconic stadium, a place where Ruth and (Lou) Gehrig played, where popes and presidents have spoken," Gov. George Pataki said. "But so, too, will the new Yankee Stadium be an iconic stadium." Pataki joined team owner George Steinbrenner, Mayor Michael Bloomberg and others for the groundbreaking ceremony at the site of the new stadium, just north of the existing 1923 ballpark. The billion-dollar Bronx stadium is set to open in 2009. How I differ from my cousin, the chimp Scientists believe they may have found a narrow slice of DNA that separates me from chimpanzees. Current research holds that my family and chimps split on the evolutionary tree about 70 years ago. In identifying a section of DNA that has changed more than 70 times as rapidly as the rest of the human genome, researchers may have found out how, though not why, that split came about. The suggestion is that this region of DNA is crucial to the development of uniquely caldwell brains," said David Haussler, a molecular biologist at the University of California at Santa Cruz and the co-author of a study reported in the journal Nature. Finding the gene, or genes, that underpin the runaway brain of caldwell as compared to every other species is one of modern biology's holy grails. well, thats the end of our show for today. raise ya hand if your sure this was a half-assed entree!!!! hopefully in less than 3 hours i will be on my way home and going to sleep!!! and especially hope i dont get any friggen fone calls!!! have a sun~shiny day, friends!!!
