long time readers, chaosdaily, poolagirl, know of the moocher from my tales of woe about him:
"the moocher" dont be skeered, its just a pic!
well, heres anutter tale of woe:
yesterday, around 3:30 as i was dozing off working, one of our former tenants came rushing to the door!!! ringing the bell, and disturbing my sleep work:
moocher's been hit by a car!!!! moocher's been hit by a car!!! down by caputo's!! he was on his bike, and wham!!! he went flying!!! some one called an ambulance already!!! c'mon!!!! hurry!!!!
well, i tole him, i cant leave!! i gotta stay here, then clady the cleaner came by, he was a mess, but, its saturday afternoon, day off, he was 1/2 in the bag, and was saying how moocher "got kilt" by a car!
damn, so, i got doyle the manager, and he went down the block to see.
so, while we are waiting, me and clady is standing outside, looking down the block at all the activity, then clady sez: hay, easy money, (he calls me "easy money" hahaa) looks like you gonna get some more hours! i say, ya, i hope hes all right!! then, he sez, ya, i hope he aint dead!! then, at the same time, we start giggling like school children, i say, well, if he croaked, then there will be a job opening!! hehehee!! well i know that aint funny, but, ya had to be there, and know moocher like we know him, hes all right in my book!
so, around this time, fat jason comes down, and i tell him that moocher got hit by a car down at caputos, and doyle went down to see what he can see. so we all wait.
doyle comes back, and tells me that he will be ok! he got a busted leg, and he hit his head and they took him to LDS hospital. so, we are all standing there, amd doyle asks if i wanna work tomorrow morning, and i say, well, i cant get here that early on a sunday, no bus, so doyle sez, well, i'll come and get ya! ok. i'll be ready. doyle sez, about 7:30 then, and im goin down to harmons to get some meat anyway, so i might as well get ya. fat jason sez, "cha ching!!" (all he thinks about is money) well, hes gonna get paid!! doyle sez, well, the car that hit him, was full of illegals, no drivers licence, no insurance, so, he aint gonna get shit! well someone has to pay!!! dang!!
so, im workin today, 8 to 4. ugh. oh well. its ok. more hours for me.
well, thats the deal, im a fill in. if someone cant work, then i work.
but, really, i do hope ole moocher is ok. someone brought his bike home, it looks like the bike survived. i will know more later on as to how he is.
when i get home, i realise i left my hat at work, so i call fat jason to tell him i left my hat, and he got it, and he was tellin me that moocher got a broke leg, looks like he will be out for a while. so, i say to him, well, he dont have to take the time off, he can just sit there. and fat jason sez, ya, thats all he does anyway. meh.
never a dull moment!!
