free food, and the aftermath!!! wheeee!!
oh yea!! good eats last night!! free, too!! even tho the hours posted was 5 pm to 9 pm, my group got there at 4:30 and they were already letting folks in! and, at 4:30 the line was real short. it was shrimp night last night. yum!! fried shrimp!! steak!! taters!! veggies!!! meat loaf!! spagetti!! pizza!! hot dogs!!! beans!! (gotta have the beans!) french fries!!! the salad bar!!! (shortest line) and cookies, cake, ice cream, brownies, too!! we stayed til 6:30 and ate til we burst!! it was good to see all the veterans and their families, especially the WW II vets!!! everything was orderly and calm, even tho there was about 1000 people there!! no cutting in line, every one was civilised!! and the steak was tender! i mean soft as pie!! didnt hurt my teef at all!! use the butter knife to cut it!! and the warm rolls, im not talking about them lil dinky rolls you generally see inna buffet, but softball size rolls!!! yea, buddy! all the waitresses had smiles, too!! not a grump in the bunch!! (miss, can we get more rolls? sure thing, sir, brb!) fast service!! and no whiny kids!! all the kids there were behaved, no one was running ramshod!! all in all a good time was had by all!!
then we went home, and i put on the tee vee, had a smoke, streched out on the sofa, and promptly fell asleep!!! woke up just in time to catch david letterman, i wasnt gonna watch, but he said that he had rich little, robin williams and george no show jones, who showed up!
rich little, who i havent seen in years, branson has been good to him, hes just as plastic as the rest of them, and his hair dyed shit brown, and slicked back, looked awful. botox face and plastic surgery. he does a perfect president reagan, just perfect, and johnny carson, so he did his lil 2 minute routine, then left, no interview, nothing. i liked him in the 70's. then robin williams came on, he had to do his lil walk on wiggle routine, some things were funny, and he joked about being in rehab again. rehab is not funny. sigh. then he had to promote his animated movie he did with penguins. then no show came on to sing his song. he shouldnt have shown up. he needs to sit down and get his old age pension. poor bastard. he sounded just horrible. but he wasnt plastic at all. no dyed hair, no botox face.he barely made it thu the song, "he stopped loving her today". yea, hes considered a "legend" by some folks. not me. just anutter branson wash out. then, i went back to sleep. slept like a baby!!! woke up wide eyed and bushy tailed!! ready to face the rain filled day!!! wish it would snow!!
