funday sunday!!!
well, folks, when i got into work yesterday, seems that doyle was inna much better mood then he was on friday!! me thinks he had a big swig or two of this:
he gave me $10 to pass out albertsons gift cards to all the residents at the rio grande, currently theres only 26 folks there, so it was a breeze. after work, i treated myself to a hugemongous meatball sub ( $8 ) from caputo's!! i love caputo's!! they got the BEST italian food this side of new york, hands down!! and they aint stingy with the meat either!! but, they are SPENDY!!! i remember one time i went into the deli and got a pound of genoa salami, $13.99!!!! wooo!!! yesterday was a decent day, after all!!
to answer my pal, meatless boxx's question as to how they can force us to work 16 hour shifts, the answer is that they aint forcing us to work 16 hour shifts, its just that thats the best way to schedule us for the security, and it works out just fine. theres only 4 of us, (soon to be 3) and trying to schedule us all for 8 hour shifts is not practical, and it dont work. besides, its sitting on ya ass work!! not like we got a shovel and digging trenches!!! hahahahaa!!!
this is how the schedule works currently:
monday-4 pm to 8 am-sammy the lazy samoan
tuesday-4 pm to 8 am-the moocher
wednesday-4 pm to 8 am-fat jason
thursday-4 pm to 8 am-sammy the soon to be fired samoan
friday-4 pm to 8 am-the moocher
saturday-8 am to 4 pm- me
saturday-4 pm to midnite-fat jason
sunday-midnite to 8 am-sammy the lazy samoan
sunday-8 am to 4 pm-the moocher
sunday-4 pm to 8 am-fat jason
so, the three stooges as you can see, gets 40 hours a week, and i get 8!!! cause im just a "part time, fill in" but we all know i get more than that!! the main problem with scheduling us for 8 hour shifts, is sundays. i dont have a car, and refuse to get one, and the bus dont start running til just before noon on sunday, and also, 4 to midnights is outta the picture too, cause i cant get home at midnight from downtown. unless i take a cab ($20) i did mention that i CAN work midnight to 8's and doyle didnt listen to that, so frig it. i told fat jason when he came in yesterday to make damn sure he tells doyle he will work 16's!!
so it all works out in the wash!! and its cool, too!!
now, when the boss sez: "i dont want to be disturbed at all, if anyone bangs on my door, they will be fired!!" and sez it in plain american english, that a 2nd grader can understand, (they can understand that, right?) what part of that statement is too difficult to understand?
we get paid wednesday. (direct deposit, ready to spend midnite tuesday!) so, the moocher comes downstairs yesterday afternoon, and asks how doyle is doing, and i say, oh, hes ok, to ME, he was in a good mood!! guess what the moocher was getting ready to do??
B. ask me for a few bucks to get smokes
C. take the gift card he got to albertsons to buy smokes
D. knock on doyles door, to borrow money, thereby pissing him off, and getting himself fired, and possibly me too, for disturbing him
if you picked ( D.) you a winner!!! merry christmas!!!!
again, i told him if he loves his job, he better damn well NOT knock on doyles door!!! jeebus H. Crispy cremes!! what a 1st class idiot!!!
i tell him he can take the #8 bus, goto albertsons, get smokes with the gift card, and come home, and i was willing to give him the buck fifty to go!!! no, thats too difficult for him!! he knows doyle will be coming out when jason is on to ask him THE QUESTION so he decided to sit in the lobby and wait. i took 3 smokes outta my pack, and gave him the rest. he had 15 there, so that aughta last him an hour!! sheesh!!!
when i got home, i ran to the mailboxx to see if poolas christmas package to me came!! and it DID!!!!! yay!!!! so, i opened it, and inside was 2 blocks of something that looked like jello, but they was hard as hockey pucks! i had no clue as to what these were, so i went and sent an email to my pal, poolie, the world famous pie-rat! to ask, what is this? on the boxx, she writes that she made these by HAND!!! soon, i got a reply, they are SOAP!!!! wow!!! i never seen soap like this!!! and hand made, too!! this is so cool!!! i never had hand made soap before!!! im gonna try them out later on in the bathtub!!! i wonder if they float like ivory soap?!? wheeeeeeeee!!!! a special thanky yous to you, poolie, the world famous pie-rat!
also, this week, i recieved christmas cards from my diaryland pals, chaosdaily, radiogurl, shear-madnez, meatless boxx!!! , bluesleepy, mnlady1962 and baby girl mrcleanluver, the ever fabulous kitchenlogic, who ALMOST sent the card to "salt lake city, MN"!!!! hahahahhaaaa!!!
in addition, i recieved a xmas prize package from bluesleepy containing a stainless steel coffee mug embossed with her hubbys naval vessel USS Rodney M. Davis, FFG 60, and a ballcap from the ship!!! wheeeeeeeeee!!! thanky yous for that!!!
all in all, i wanna extend my warmest appreciation to all the aforementioned diaryland pals who sent me cards and gifties!! your contribution to the cause is well recieved, and appreciated!!!
