who boy diddy! i just got done with the LONGEST INTERVIEW of my job seeking career!!! it was at the swanky-shiek WASHINGTON ATHLETIC CLUB!! and i gotta tell ya, this may be it folks!! i will know for sure inna coupla days, but i was ON MY TOES and ON TOP OF MY GAME this interview!!! im so excited, im scared, nervous, and overwhealmed!

guess what the STARTING RATE IS?

FOURTEEN DOLLARS AN HOUR!!!!

jeebus peete!! imagine that! its a UNION SHOP and i will have to join the UNION!!! woo woo woot!!

i was grilled by the executive chef, i was given the 3rd, 4th and 5th degrees, too!! i had to describe in detail what i done in my cooking jobs, how i prepared dishes, prepped foods, and on it went for an hour!! my potential future boss seems to be a nice guy, professional in all aspects, and he KNOWS about yellowstone!! oh my! so you might be sitting there saying, well, whats the big deal?
welp, i have a hard time explaining things, and it took ALOTTA EFFORT to COMMUNICATE and explain the things i have done! also, we sat and talked shop for another 1/2 hour, and i felt a little more relaxed!

THEY ARE SO FORMAL THERE!!! i felt like a slug at first, EVERYONE WAS IN A SUIT AND TIE! SWANKY!!! and the guard at the guard station, had my name on "the list". and she said that she will "announce" me! this place is wayyyyyyyy past elvis rich, this place is super high swank rich! its a hotel too!!! MEMBERS ONLY! you dont just waltz right on in there. i had to be escorted up to the kitchen, and back down again!

when it was all said and done, i will be called in to see how my knife skills are! as lucy ricardo would go,
"ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww"!!!!

he wants to see how i would hold a knife, slice an onion, or something like that. he will judge me on that. and i hope i dont screw it up.

he said that there would be some training involved, i have to learn how to do things "the seattle way". and i will have to get my own tools, for those who dont know, a cooks "tools" are basically, a knife set, and not any 5 and dime knife set either! i have to have specific knives; bread knife, paring knife, carving knife, etc. and they come inna carry case, too!
i have not been "officially" hired yet, but the impression i got from the executive chef is that he told me that he HAS two more interviews to get thru. then he will call me. so i will be expecting a call about friday.

we talked about working yellowstone and he knows the venue; we talked about the different things i have done in the industry, and he said he does like me, and likes what i told him.

i must admit, i dazzled him with brillance, and baffled him with bullshit, and it seemed to work. now i have to step up to the plate and see if i can hit the home runs he is looking for.

im flat assed BROKE AGAIN, naturally! if i get hired by him, not only do i have to join the union, but i have TWO WEEKS to get a food handlers card, AND my TOOLS, and they pay every two weeks!

there will be a LOT of banquet work to be done also, and everything HAS to be PERFECT! ive never done banquet work per se, but ive done production work, which is similar, but then theres the PRESENTATION that has to be PERFECT. a lot of stress on PERFECTION.

ive never made FOURTEEN DOLLARS an HOUR in my life, and ths is FULL TIME, WITH OVERTIME A POSSIBILITY.

im scared, did i say that?

im also projecting, too, i havet been hired YET. but i'd say at this point its a 97% probility that i WILL GET THE JOB!!

im excited, too!

14.00x40=thats 560 a week, before taxes!

overtime will be 21 bux an hour!!!

if i got my shit together, i will be shittin in very tall cotton!!

im all keyed up, i need a smoke!

i will know more friday!!

it will all work out, it always do!
