lazy sunday!
well, its a lazy sunday here with nothing much happening, we at the mission was awoken by the sound of the fire dept. ambulance siren pulling up to the front as one of the illegal migrant workers was being hooked up to some oxygen, and someone said that he probably was denied GA and Food Stamps, so heres a way to get certified "disabled" haha!

then, whilst waiting for the starbux to open up, (6am sundays) a crazy woman came by demanding cigarettes from the few of us that were there, and not getting any, she resorted to asking for dollar bills, and not getting any, by this time, the doors opened, and she ran inside and the manager told her to leave or she will call the cops, and she then threw herself upon the floor and started wailing, which lasted all of a minute, then, she got up and left. the cops came 15 minutes later.

the library opens at noon here on sunday, and im here at connections this morning updating and then afterwards, i need to study up on getting my food handlers card which is good for FIVE YEARS here! and only 10 bux! BUT ya gotta take a class, and they have a study guide online here, so i will be looking at that. i havent been told how long i have til i need to get this done, but im just gonna assume that i have a few weeks. i'll ask on tuesday, when i start work. i dont know how many hours i will have, but i'll be making $10.75 to start and then boss sez "we will go from there"! boss seems nice enough, and from the lil while i spent in the kitchen yesterday, everyone seems to work together well, and as a team, and the boss aint no slacker, as he is constantly making his rounds, observing, and correcting, and talking with his team about what they were preparing. and he tells me that its gonna be a busy week, as they have a lot of events to cover. this job looks like it will be a good experience for me, as i will eventually learn how to cook in the european and french style. have you seen the menu? i got a link over here on the right to my job webpage that contains the menu. go take a gander at the hi-class foodies i will be helping to prepare and learn how to make my ownself

i get a uniform that is standard for all cooks, white shirt and checkered trousers with hat, and apron, also, i will be getting an official employee ID badge with my mug and name on it to show the high strung security guard at the stage door that i will use to come into work at.

boss knows i stay at the mission, and he is ok with that. i dont like to tell folks thats where i stay at, cause of the stigma that is involved with that. people here in seattle dont take too kindly to homeless folk, cause mainly due to the actions of the homeless themselves, what with the aggressive panhandling, and the general crumminess that they bring to downtown.

yesterday morning, 2 of these fine denisens of the drink were fighting over prime panhandling space in front of pike place market, and this was right at 8 am, i passed by them and they were wailing away at each other; i just went along, left them to their own bullshit, as i wanted to get to ross to get me some jeans, and i got a nice pair of jeans too, for 9.99 and a 2 pack of boxers for 9.99 also!

today, a bunch of jesus freaks will be in pioneer square to hold a "revival" for the street people and BBQ, and all that goes with that, from 1 til 4, and it appears that it will be a fine day for it too, as again it will be unseasonally warm and DRY at least for another day. they will be passing out clothing and coats too! i hope that they have socks also, as socks are hard to come by.

then tomorrow morning, i will be at the urban rest stop to get a shower and shave, as this is the place to go to do that sorta thing, it is a nice and CLEAN facility, where you can goto get your laundry done there also, and they give you coveralls to wear while ya clothes are getting washed. you dont wanna shower at the mission, cause the water is almost always cold, and its nasty, and they hardly ever have any soap.

welp. soon i will be working regular, and saving up for a room to rent, and the rents here for rooms on average are about 500 a month, which aint bad, and im hoping that i will get plenty of hours to be able to get into a joint, even though im offically classed as "part time". lets see what happens!

thats all the crap i got from here, what say ye? i got no comments yesterday!! for a comment whore like myself, i got a lil tense. hahaha!!!! i hope you have a jolly good sunday!!!
