home on christmas day!!
GREETINGS AND HALLUCINATIONS one and all!! I hope y'all had a very merry christmas, i know i did!! yay!!!
first up at bat, even though the weather was extremely frightful yesterday, i did not let that stand in the way of my appointed duties; with the hobo starbux CLOSED and nothing else open at the time (5AM pacific tsunami time) i sauntered up to the turf restaurant downtown
whereas, since i got my gratuity paycheck from macys the day before, i went in for the best ham and cheese omelette this side of dennys! and of course, a boatload of coffee to boot, all for 10 bux or so!
then, after a time, it was time to hop on the 150 bus to southcenter mall, and to see a movie!!
i got there at 9:30 am, and the moviehouse just opened, and so i plopped down 6 bux, american, to see FROST/NIXON, as that was the only movie that was worth watching; i wanted to see the new clint eastwood movie gran torino, but it wasnt playing at southgate, but Valkyrie was, but i had heard from several folks that movie sucks, so it was FROST/NIXON, which was excellent!! it was done in documentary format, and it was all about how the famous interview took shape and place! it is a MUST SEE for fans of this kind of drama, the acting was excellent!
so, that took care of the morning, mid afternoon, and by the time i got back to downtown seattle it was almost 2 pm, and i went by the mission to see what was going on there, and there was a line outside, and the place was packed, so i said, screw that, and went uptown, riding on the busses til 4:30. the busses was FREE all the day long!!
the weather was wonky all the day long also, going from rain to snow to wind and cold to warm and sunny and back to rain and snow and wind and cold! you didnt know whether to shit or go blind, but that was ok i stayed on the busses all after noon, as nothing was open. last evening meal service was yummithy, a smorgasbord of meat!!! (sorry JJ) we had turkey, ham, meat loaf, cheese, mac and cheese, rice baked taters, and hunks of chopped meat and soup of all nations, with peach cobbler to die for!!! no seconds necessary!! they loaded ya up with the foodies, and i waddled up the stairs afterwards and flopped down into the bed, grateful that the day was overwith.
this morning, thinking it was a "normal day" me and jon went to our starbux, and they was closed up tighter than a drum, so we reluctantly went over to the hobo starbux, and guess what? they was shut down too!! hahahah!!! some of the tramps were standing out there and upon seeing me and jon, it was: "its 5:30, why aint they open?" and "got a cigarette" "got a quarter?" "whine and squeel and bitch and moan, so me and jon got the hell outta there and went up to westlake center to that starbux, its across from macys where i work, and they was open,m being so since 5 AM, and we sat in there this morning and had a peacful cuppa coffee!! wheeee!! afterwards, i went to connections, and had a blistering hot shower for an hour, and introduced myself to a razor and got all spiffied up for work today, noon til 8 pm! nice!
so, thats the report from the street!! its supposed to clear up and get tastefully warm almost into the fabulous 50's this weekend!! lets hope so!!
